Perfectionism is a common issue for students and so as the assignments start to ramp up for many of you at QMUL, I thought it would be helpful to explore the topic of perfectionism. This post focuses on what perfectionism is, explores some of the common myths surrounding the topic and offers some tips for combatting it.   

Dealing with endings

As we come to the end of term and more importantly, the end of the academic year, many will be celebrating and feeling relief and ready for a break from studying.  Some of us, however, may experience a mixture of other emotions that may seem more complicated and confusing. In this blog, I hope to offer an opportunity to think about how we might handle the end of the academic year taking into account the impact of change, and consequentially the impact of loss.

Stress is a topic that we often talk about with our friends, tutors and student support officers, especially when it comes to exams and assignments. Much of the time, that stress is caused by this particular behaviour: procrastination.
